On Artemis Avenue, a busy street and within walking distance of Artemis Marina, the owners of an old detached house commissioned us to design a two-storey semi-detached house — business premises with a ground floor shop.
Considering the dual future use of the building, we wanted to give a sense of introversion and privacy by emphasizing the structural elements of the facade. Vertical shading blinds, glass panes, pergolas and architectural ledges work in addition, creating a balanced shading-lighting relationship.
